Grenade Pipes
Okay guys I was reading this tutorial on the cremora blowpipe, and I was wondering how to use that effect for a larger fire ball that would be about a grenade sized explosion. So I put together this diagram. I call it the grenade pipes. It is like four blowpipes rigged together that set off a fire ball simultaneously. Let the red box represent a source for compressed air (CO2 Tank, Air compressor, Bike pump, et cetera). Let the blue pieces represent pipes that direct the air passage. And the green pieces are funnels that hold the fuel, the funnels should also have some sort of igniter on the side. Tell me if you think this could work or not.

RE: Grenade Pipes
I think it would, you'd have to have a deep hole though. Maybe angle all the cones inward to make one big fire thing. Grenades usually dont have fire, but it would sure look cool.

RE: Grenade Pipes
Great idea, but good luck finding a one to four PVC conversion tree to build it with.

Yeah, you're not going to get a one-to-four, you'll need pipe and a few "T"s to make it work. I agree with Almondo, angle 'em all in.
It should definitely work.

RE: Grenade Pipes
Like Almondo said, grenades don't have fire. Good for a firebomb or molotov cocktail impact (show it being thrown, cut immediately to the explosion with a good glass shattering sound effect added)
RE: Grenade Pipes
Unless it's for a John Woo movie...
Could you put dirt, flower dust etc. inside? Then it would be a grenade explosion, a good one too. You coulld put the dirt in the funnels and then blast it.

RE: Grenade Pipes
If there isn't a one-to-four pvc pipe piece is there any other way to rig it up?

RE: Grenade Pipes
As I said, you can get a bit of extra pipe and a few "T" joints and piece them together until you have four outputs. It's just a bit of basic plumbing work =D

hjmm... if you want a dirt explosion.. this is not the way to do it
visit your local paintball site/dealer and purchase a standard paintball CO2 system. Then use the various plans for potato guns.
just fill the tube with dirt, connect up to C02 system, and away you go

Just fire a BB or paintball into the ground.

RE: Grenade Pipes

RE: Grenade Pipes
I know grenades dont have fire but the best thing Ive found for a convincing cheap and easy ( since u like this more than accurate) use cherry bombs that u stick down into a pipe. Most commonly known as mortars. I just bought 6 for $4 dollars for the 4th of July. I just would bury them a bit wth dirt and light and wait for the explosion. they work well in water
