Hollywood is releasing a lot of remakes! The Fog, Dukes of Hazzard, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Herbie "Fully Loaded", Assault on Precinct 13, etc. Are they running out of ideas? :)

Oh, I dunno. Updating them for the audience of today isn't always a bad thing. And I wouldn't call Charlie and the Chocolate factory a remake (it's just another adaotation of the book) and isn't Herbie fully Loaded an actual sequel? i'm pretty sure it follows in continuity from the others...

And if its not a remake its always based on somthing for example: Halo is based on the video game, Alien vs Predator based on the comics/ the video game.

And dont get me started on the amount of movie based on comics that have appered recently: Spiderman (2), Xmen (2), Fantastic 4, Blade, the list goes on.
When is there going to be somthing original like The Incredables.
If you ask me we need Gorge Lucas or Steven Speilburg there guines.

Im finshed now.
Ewwwww....... is that a bit of Covenant on my helmet?

I think sequels are fine, unless its a totally different cast... and people actually liked the prequel... and it actually works with the end of the prequel.

no way man, i doubt i have ever seen a good sequel, the problem is the people in hollywood see that the first mvoie worked and see the elements that people liked and they make a sequel and they always try to make ti better and they exagerate the elements that made the first movie good thus making the sequel bad, i dont remember a single sequel i liked more than the original (except for those made at the same time like LOTR, harry potters, etc. but wen they decide to make the sequel after they saw that the first worked it always turns to garbage)

You're kidding right?!? Aliens, Godfather part 2, Dawn of the Dead '78, Terminator 2... well, they're the only ones I can think of right now and I'm sure that a lot of sequels are pure trash but it's not ALWAYS the case...

i actually never thought of those but thats mostly because they may have been good but they werent somethign that remained burned into my memory. Now what i have to say is look at when theyre made, maybe the bad making of sequels is a new thing, maybe back in the day people were capable of making decent sequels, i dont know but thats what i think, its the modern way of thinking that messes sequels up, but thats just my opinion.

what about Back to the Future? They made one movie it was so good that they made two more and they were even better! If I was a director today I would make a Sequel to that.

BACK FROM THE FUTURE> The basic story is there are two kids who live in the same neighbourhood they find seperate clues to a time machine in their attics placed their by their fathers. One of their fathers is called "Jules" and the other "Vern" if you are a fan of back to the future this should already be taking shape now. I would add another character named Mc FLy just to throw in a trinity and give them traits that will proove to be gotchas later on... Anyway what happens is that they recreate a time machine but upgrade it so it isnt a delorian lol

They test it out and go back in time ironically to the same night as marty and the doc are trying to make martys parents fall in love. The kids screw up their predecessors timeline and have to fix it somehow i dunno if they said I could really do it then i would make something up. but it ends up as a happy ending and you could have a cameo from michael j fox since he is still alive...

It sucks don adams died before they finished the Get Smart Movie
Muzzle Flashes, Bullet Time, Lightsabers, Buffy Vampire Effects, War Films.... Ahhhhh!

Thats a pretty decent idea even though all the others had the same plot. I always hoped they would make a 4th one, but MJFox is way to old now. But like you said he could make a nice cameo, like an old man or something. haha

I think instead of remaking good movies people need to remake bad movies.
