Need Advice on making a dead animal

i am in pre production of my movie "Watching Mr. Skittles" it is a horror/ comedy and in the movie the guys kills a cat by slamming it into a door frame when he closes the door, now i will be using a real cat for the other stuff but does anyone have an idea on how i can make it look as if the cat his been crushed to death by a door, thanks

What colour is the cat? I would try to get some fluffy material from a dress making shop that matches the colouring of the cat. Create a simple cat shape and stuff with newspaper. Place fake cat on floor and cover in fake blood. If you only show it for a few seconds it may look good enough.

Plan two would be to film the cat lying down asleep. Add blood using 3D Studio max or even draw it in using Paintshop Pro.

Not amazing ideas but may help prompt someone else.

Just find an old stuffed animal and cover it with fake blood!

or you could just drive around untill you see a cat, then speed up and run it over lol j/k

i agree about the stuffed toy, i am guessing this film will be comical anyway. Or just buy some fur to match and mock up a bloody.popped eye model
