yeah, it is all easy, just timing is vital - might kill you though ... it would probably be easier if u knew the driver and the road was clear though...
I would do that effect with a cam trick. See guy "Jumping" the cut to Guy landing in the truck. And possably have a SFX of the falling. Probably much safer as well.
Have an istablishing shoot him on bridge, then a close up, where we don't see much bridge, istabishing shoot truck, cut back to close this is also the angle where we see him fall, just out of the shoot. Hear scream. Cut to him in truck.
Thats what I would do. The cut and strange angle is the friend of low budget film makers. Remember don't show the audeance everything. Just imply that it is there and they will fill in the visual themselves.
Nope, we're all just virtual creations, like a box of fruit loops or tasty wheat or someting! (I wasn't paying attention at that moment - I had just spilled my cola over this woman's blouse!)
I thought we were focusing on the real, and how to make it appere real, because physical effects are just smoke and mirrors. Talking about how to make people think it is real is very important here. since the special effects thred is full of how do I blow this up, and how do I CGI this shoot.
All I'm saying is that if we do a shot right, but we do it like foxwood said, as in, using multiple shots, then the audience will fill in the blanks with there minds
Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!
You don't need a parachute to go skydiving. You only need a parachute to go skydiving twice.
i would give the impression i was going to jump off the bridge, cutaway to a model prop of me falling, and do the landing part by standing on the hay and jumping and doing a belly flop! i use this technique in jumping out of windows!
Stunts are a good way to keep in shape, Ive been practising for about 3 years now and its been a good time. Looks very good on camera aswell. I am considering going into professional trainig/work as a stuntman, but we'll see. I've done plenty of high risk Stunts for various projects and its a great way of bulking up your movie. I've dont car hits, fire, high falls, stair falls and basic fight scenes, its all good. Utility stunts are a good way of getting into it at a slower pace. (yes this in another thread, but i think i got it in the wrong one)

Well violence is a good film filler, even if it tends to be a little bland at times, but if you keep coming up with new ways, thats all good. And of course some of the best violence in films is off camera or 'implied',should be good.
