Whoo Hoooo!!!! I can post on this part of the forum now!!! thank you so much to whoever fixed this!!!
About a year ago, I decided to try and actually insert myself into a scene from a tv series or movie. I chose to be in an episode of Charmed. Anyways, when I had filmed my self for this effect, I did not use a blue or greenscreen because of previous experiments I wasn't able to light the screen correctly so I decided to animate masks around myself. The whole 14 second sequence took about 3 weeks to do as I was trying to limit the dancing around the edges associated to doing a composite like this. I don't know how the pro's do that kind or rotoscoping but oh well. Anyways, it was my first attempt and I would have to say its good first attempt. I could have done some things better but hopefully my next composite test will come out better.

That was funny: some guy random wondering throughout the house.
It did look really good, except for the first part were you walk out of the scene before reappearing. It kinda jumped. But the rest looked pretty spot on.

Try using this, I've seen it give amazing results.

Even though that it took me three weeks to do this after it was all completed and I viewed the final product, I was like whoa... this looks friggin kool. Would I do it this way again? Sure. But I'm gonna try and do greenscreen first ya know, practice makes perfect. I was planning on inserting myself into anther show or movie. Haven't decided yet. I want to actually try and interact with the characters in my next effect. Maybe even replace a character in a scene. That would be really cool. I'm gonna submit this clip over at the www.alyssa.com message boards and see what Alyssa thinks of it. He he he.
