For Pete Sake, all the guy is asking for some help, you dont need to run him down, I think is a fair request, its not easy in this buisness. I just read the early posts a while ago, and to be honest I think people should be careful what they say, But good luck to you Mark, I would take up your offer...

sounds interesting, we used a combination of stop motion, wires and motors, it worked kinda cool in the end.. We had a nitting needle for the spear that killed the shark, and a little Roy Shieder lego man. it looked crappy indeed, but it was good fun, very very funny to watch, almost as funny as 'Ki...

RE: Re: Lego movie

I made a couple of Lego movies a few years back, Really cheesy Jaws sequels. It was actually great fun, and the outcome was indeed shitty, but because it was so dreadful, that made it superb (and yes that makes perfect sense). we had a cardboard model of the shark, and it was pretty goofy, lots of f...

Try the low wind sound from 'The 3rd Man', easy to stream in, either that or look at some sound fx cd's, there are plenty on amazon. some classical chillout works well aswell, woth a try.

Ok hook up your PS2 to your pc via USB and hire an old game like 'Tomorow Never Dies' or even something like 'Specops' and go to the main menu, then go to options, and soud, there you can listen to each game track, be it music of sounds, then copy them to the pc and there you have it. Many games can...

Well sometimes in a hurry its hard to find fake money, you can get round it many ways, but photocopying money is a good way, even some mainstream films used that Idea. Your more likely to get away with it just aslong as you keep it quiet, but whatever works. heres an idea, how about using real money...

Well its not as easy as 'tell people how to do' Stunts, each and every stuntman has his diffrent style and way of working things. aswel as the fact that the 'hands on' approach is really the best way to learn, like Recon said, it best to start a thread on a perticular gag, or if you need any advice,...

Red Dwarf was great. Yeah Dartmoore is a pretty good place to film, OR and if ( a big if) you have the money, you can go to chessington's world of adventures and enquire about hiring it for a day or so while its closed. That way you can make use of their full western town they have, Which is infact ...

Thats cool man, I have been In the 'Game' for 5 years now, and am still keeping up with the squared circle. I have had to tone down my matches lately due to basic fatigue. Sorry to bring up this old topic again, but that would be great, If you listen to Alan Howarth's score for Halloween 6, it has lots of metal riffs, including my personal favourate, 'Jaimie's Escape' which features a great Dist.Guitar version of the halloween theme. It had hard metal sparks and slaps...

Thats great for people who cant play, but I ussusally record from my kit, BUT sometimes it isnt that easy, and sometimes the quality or format dosent fit the film, so thats cool, I'll take a look.

thats fair enough, I think the 3d modeling and digital effects are ok if your going for tackyness or maybe something comedic, but if you really want to make something like that, use minitures. I did try and use premeir pro, and my machine rejected it again, why damnit, ahh well.

RE: Horror or Comedy?

you say what if the actors suck, well isnt that the whole idea of making a film well, you make sure that they dont suck, so what you have just said makes no sense, or your telling us that you would make a movie well, but not bother about acting ability. what I said applies all the time, if you have t...

Well violence is a good film filler, even if it tends to be a little bland at times, but if you keep coming up with new ways, thats all good. And of course some of the best violence in films is off camera or 'implied',should be good.

RE: Horror or Comedy?

well Ive seen better amatuer horror than comedy, it ussually comes out pap, but worth a go i suppose,it ussually ends up looking stupid, but i guess the bottom line is, you can do anything and make it look good aslong as you have the smarts, but genrally what i said before applies
