RE: Horror or Comedy?
I would say horror, cheesy horror can work, and if you have the goods you can really make people shiver, Low budget ametuer comedy movies ussually come out cr** and just funny because your laughing at them, like 'omg these people actually think there funny', I would never do comedy because you reall...

I thought that was pretty good, I ussually would use practical effects, but sometimes with the lighting and that, it wont all pick up well on camera, But that indeed is amazing, great for a poster of some sort, or maybe a crime scene photo, were using them (photoshop-altered crime scene images) in ou...

I started to film a western and it was looking rather good, we gave up on it because of ideas, not the scenery. We filmed it mostely in the countryside, as that works just as well, it would have to be more of a 'outlaw josey wales' movie rather than a 'few dollars more' type of movie in terms of sce...

Just photocopy notes, its illegal but if you keep it quiet while filming and destroy the notes when your finished should be fine. its ony really illegal and dodgy if you attempt to use the notes to pay for things, so I dont see the harm there

Dosent that defeat the object of a documentry?, Unless your making a Docu-Movie then thats a little diffrent, but a basic documentary is supposed to be non-fiction.

lol, Indeed its taken from the origanal short film that was used to raise money for 'Evil dead', but this was the title that suited it it best. You mention the fact that its a rip off of an old Raimi idea, I guess you didnt notice that the movie is indeed inspired by Blair witch/Last broadcast, ahh ...

RE: Knife Sound FX
Ok download something like 'wavepad' for free at www.download.com, then hook up a mic and get 2 kitchen (butchers) knives, this works perfectly, and if your editing you can watch what you have filmed while you are doing it, so the sounds are in time, this works perfect, I used it before on an old Ra...

RE: How do you guys mix your sound?
I gather my samples and what not, then Mix and edit it to fit my film/production in Acid Pro 4, then save it and render it to Wav or Mp3, easy really. Takes some time to get used to it, but well worth the results.

RE: Transfering from Camcorder to PC
you need really a Pinnacle systems Movie box(firewire, the cards are cheap), It works great, capture from VHS, DV, and pretty much any other analogue camera, works a treat, set me back a bit tho at £160, but well worth it.

dont laugh, but at the moment I'm using studio 9, I do have Premier 6.5 and Pro, but at the moment, it does the trick for me. RE: Re: RE: Anyone here done any documentarys????
I'm doing a documentry right now about Wrestling, check it out in 'Member Films'. or go to (www.freewebs.com/upcomingmovie). But yeah documentarys are great and quite easy to be honest. A great way to learn an editing program aswell, when making a documentary you probably end up using all the effect...
