Is any geared more towards CG animation? I'm not trying to create a game or 3D picture, but effects more like in Smallville and CSI. Yeah, I know I'm going to at least put in a minimum of 1 year of training into 3D animation. But I don't mind. I'm not creating anything for anybody and I got plenty o...

How do you create flashes in films?
I trying to make a dramatic movie and I want to do flashes. For example, a guy might be walking down the street and flashes of his past appear. I have After Effects 6.5 and I was thinking that for 4-5 frames, I cut out the part I want to flash and place it in its own layer. I create a white solid an...

Need music for an antiwar(victims) montage. Please help.
I can't seem to find anything good. I searched and searched, but the stuff I find isn't what I'm looking for. So I thought I'd ask here if anybody could help me out. I'm looking for something slow/sad that type. The pictures I will be using for my montage are of the victims of wars. But I also want ...

Re: RE: Intro: Progress of weapons -from stone to bombs
"Since the beginning of mankind, man has engaged in the senseless killing of each other." You've got some grammar errors within that sentence.[/quote] I'm not seeing it, but a hint would be nice. Thank you. I think that if you really take a while on this one, never settle for a crappy sho...

RE: Intro: Progress of weapons -from stone to bombs
Hi. Thank you for the replies. I actually went though all those ideas, but I didn't know how to integrate it into my Powerpoint presentation. (Mine is Powerpoint with a movie). For class, my group has to read the poem, give a brief history of the author, and then explain the meaning of the poem. Her...

Intro: Progress of weapons -from stone to bombs
For a poem for a school project, I decided to integrate a video in my presentation. Since my poem is an anti war poem condemning war since mankind first existed, I decided that for a intro, I'll do a progress of weapons. The scene will start off with a dead body falling in front of the camera. To th...

Computer Animation - Where do I start?
Hi. I like movie making and I want to really get into this as a hobby. So before I make my first film, I would like to know where to start when it comes to special effects. For editing, I have Premiere Pro. For composition/motion graphics, I have Discreet Combustion and Adobe After Effects. I would ...
