You don't even need the luma stuff. In Final Cut Pro (it's probably different than Premeire) you just go to Effects>Video Filters>Color Key. Then you just use the eye dropper to take a sample of what you want color keyed. Anyways, if you want the blood spurt post your email, and after you see it, pl...

Hey, I filmed it. I did it against a piece of white paper (I don't know what you use to edit, but I use Final Cut Pro) and you should be able to color key it out (I haven't used Premiere (if you use that) but it probably has a color key thing). The only thing is that it looks greyish because the lig...

idea for headshot
I thought of an idea for a way to do a frontal view headshot without showing tubes or anything (sorry if this idea has been posted before) Get a cloth, (preferably black) and cut a small hole in it. Then attach a tube coming out from the back. Fill the front of the tube with bloody stuff or red spon...

But in movies nobody wants small muzzle flashes. Thats why they take that thing off the gun. i forget what its called but for people who own real autos it has something that minimizes the flash, but for movies you want the opposite. I shot an M-16 not too long ago and the flashes were small (like th...

I tested this method out but with mixed results. Firstly was that my friend watched me while I threw the egg at him, so he flinched, and when it is finally cropped, it does not look that good. But, the blood effects looked good and I could hardly even see the eggshell. My advice would be to not let ...

RE: squibs
this wouldnt be explosive, but it gives a good effect. take a small ziplock bag and fill it with fake blood. tape it to your actor and have them put a shirt over it (white shirt is the best) and then have somebody with a airsoft gun behind the cam shoot it. the bag pops and the blood goes all over.
