Hey, don't diss air cadetter uniforms! I'm using one in my next film, to act as a dead ex-soldiers uniform, folded up in a suitcase. Yeah.

Does your JVC have a Firewire and USB port? Its just I am going to be borrowing my brothers- I haven't seen it but I know it has at least USB, and am wondering if it is likely to have Firewire aswell.

How much does a Firewire chord cost? I heard it was about £40.
Regarding USB, just because its slower, why does it make quality poorer? Couldn't it just take longer to get it onto the PC, and keep the quality?

It can get annoying in Premiere 6 having to re-do a preview everytime you add a new transition or something.

On second thoughts, I think similarity is only when your transparency type is set to RGB difference, rather then blue/green screen. If using RGB difference, click the colour you want to be transparent, and by moving the 'similarity' slider, you can decide how near to your chose colour the other colo...

Let alone 5.1 surround! I am thrilled because this morning I found out you can control which of the two (Left/Right) speakers the sound comes out of but going into Audio Options in Premiere!

I think it lost alot of credibility the moment you saw the home video, and actually got to see the alien. Nothing is as scary as your imagination, that is why the best films are about the unknown. Knowledge is reassuring. Anyone seen Jeepers Creepers 1? The first half was pretty tense, and was quite...

One has a .5 at the end.

Seriously, I think its mainly just slight interface changes.

I am going to make a real idiot of myself if I am wrong here, but off the top of my head I think... Rotoscoping is when your movie is broken down into each individdual frame, with those frames saved as single images, enabling you to edit frame by frame. This is used commonly for Illuminating light s...

I'm pretty sure it'd work dandy. The green would have to be roughly the same shade, but as long as the character wears red, blue, black or white, it shouldn't matter much, just turn up the 'similarity' if dealing with Premiere.

Exactly. So if there nothing I can do? Does any format that you're able to write with a CD-RW work on a PS2?

Surely you could do it really easily. Film the background footage and foreground footage. Make foreground colour, background black and white, and use transparency to make the black and white show through.

Going back to the brand names, I bet you didn't know that the word 'generic' (as in like not a specific brand) actual was a brand name. Knowledge is the bomb!

The fact that bullets move fast is a very helpful thing in my view, especially for people with no way of getting footage onto a PC (me until Friday). It means you don't need to tie fishing line around a toy bullet and dangle it around like a spastic, you can just pretend its there.

Yeah, my thing was gonna be a news set thing in the background, so it will be acceptable for me to wear like a white shirt (like a school shirt) as it will fit the thing, and also help with the blue screening.

Speaking of blue screen, can it be any form of blue, rather than bright? Its just that Ive got these huge royal blue curtains, and it would be cool if I could use those.

Getting my Movie on to our TV

My next movie is going to be filmed on a Digital Camera, and this is my first experience with them. I want to get my film (once edited) onto our TV, so we can watch it properly. These are the things I have that might help: TV CD-RW Drive DVD drive (Not DVD-RW) VCR Playstation 2 (with DVD player) Ado...

The Joy of Plasterboard

I would just like to preach about the joy's of plasterboard... My first movie on Saturday was hardly Oscar standard, and it definitely needed a few bright spots to perk things up a bit. One of them was the finale. We were planning to have the baddie get hit with a fake rock, untill Dad came up with ...
