Lock the camera down on a tripod. Get a shot of the area without the actor/actress. Then, get your shot of the person standing in place as the large, obstructive vehicle of your choice passes between the camera and person. (of course the person is still standing there when the vehicle is gone.) In e...

Just as an update... It turns out that, even though I couldn't play the files with WMP, QuickTime had no problem with them at all, so the files are valid. To fix the issue, I downloaded a free format converter ( dbPowerAmp Music Converter ) and used it to convert the files from WAV to WAV. Whatever ...

OK. If they're working for others I'll work on getting the WAV files zipped and uploaded tonight. Since I can't hear them on my system, I don't know how to group them other than numerically, so you'll have to hunt for what you want. Once I figure out why my PC won't play these files, I'll try to get...

If you've really got the time... You could build a mock up room outside in the back yard. Just need two walls, a floor and ceiling. Securely attach everything to the "floor" and walls. Now you can shoot at regular angles to set up the scene, roll the set on its side to do the wall walking....

Most art supply shops have blank "newsprint" paper your can buy. If that doesn't work, try a deli. Newsprint paper is often used to wrap fish & meats. You wanted "newspaper clippings" right? You shouldn't even need tabloid size then. Just cut out the articles so it looks like...

Sorry I'm getting in here really really late, but at some point before actresses where being debated, this thread was talking about Matrix effects, so I hope I'm not interrupting too much by posting this..... Televisions draw video motion as Interlaced frames. Computer monitors (and theater movies) are deinterlaced. For TV's, frame rate is 30 frames per second in US (NTSC) and 25 frames per second. However... Each frame contains two, interlaced fields, shot twice as fast as the frame rate. The even numbe...

PC Video games

Great topic. Many PC video games have sounds that are readily extracted as WAV or MP3 files. What's really cool is that this is true of the downloadable demos as well. (Though the demos typically have a subset of all the sounds you coud get from buying the game.) For Star Wars, Jedi Outcast is a per...

After messing with both WinMorph and MotionPerfect for about a week, I've opted to simply use the raw frames from the cameras rather than interpolate additional frames to smooth out the motion. Basically, I'm never going to get 15 of these shots, plus the rest of the DVD, done on schedule if I spend...
