The Waitress: Filming on Monday
2 Assassins meet in a restaurant, sitting opposite their target. They need to finalize the plans of their hit and pull it off. It could be so easy if it weren't for their over-enthusiastic and downright intrusive waitress who keeps on interupting them during pinnacle points of their plan. No plan or...

Good way to film a Conversation?
Lets say I have two characters at a table sitting opposite each other, is this a good way to film their conversation? 1. Have the camera pointing past A's shoulder and focuses on B, just so you can see a bit of the back of A's head and his shoulder. 2. Film the conversation focusing just on B, but b...

Sound continuity
When watching movies, especially dialogue, you can see how the angle changes on character, different angles of his head, closeups and than back to full views etc etc. yet the level and tone of their speech stays the same, I'm sure they carry over the sound track from one one take, but which one? How...

Cloning Copy and Paste method?
I've seen Behind The Scenes things where they talk about cloning saying that they had to copy and paste a hundred times... You can make clones just by selecting a person and copying and pasting them somewhere else on the screen though, right? Clones only work with masking and lots of clips... Correct?

Do you add in each SFX on an audio track with Premiere or do your video into Audition and add your sound effects in that way?

With the motion settings, what is the fill color thing for? I've always wondered and always just set it to black by default... what would I use it for?

What is the definition of a Matte?
Is it just basically a digitally developed background or is it keying out the background? I always thought it was basically a region that specified transparency, but than on a site like this http://www.matteworld.com/ it's described as background that's been made.

Blending Mode in After Effects in Photoshop
When would you use blending modes? What exactly do they do? When would you use a different one? In AE is there a way to animate blending modes so that the blending mode for a layer changes over time? Do blending modes blend layers or just the color of a single layer... AE's manual is so flakey on th...

I know the method of going to transparency and than just making a garbage matte over half of the video so the background comes through, but then half of the video cuts out... Is there a way to do a split screen where the whole video is squeesed to fit in the area that the split makes?

I've been thinking whether this shot would work: A Runs towards B, B dissappears and reappears behind A and kicks his feet out from under him Would it be filmed like this? 1: Have a static background backplate 2. Have a shot of A Running 3. Have a shot of B jumping in the air and a shot of B landing...

Is the best way to make track mattes to export a film strip of video and then in photoshop go over each frame in Black (for transparency) and white (for opaque) and then import that film strip back in premiere?

Argh! this is so frustrating! Track matte!
Ok, Premiere: 3 tracks, I have a copy of 2 clips on track 1 and 2, track 2's clip is blurred. on track 3 I have a JPG of a white square in a black background. I want the non blurry part of video track 1 to surround the blurry part of track 2 so I goto track 3, and goto transparency ---> Track matte ...
