(open a dvd in windvd and count how many frames you go through by stepping frame by frame in one second. you will find it is 24. Right because most DVD's are shot on film which is 24fps. Or even if they are shot on DV, if they get distributed for theatre play, they get transferred to 35mm with is ,...

Film something (anything, but preferably a hand held shot with lots of stuff going on) for about 5 seconds. Plonk it twice in to an editing program and make one 24p (leaving one 30i). Stick it on a loop and watch it on TV. :D I have done before that and do see a little bit of difference. But not a ...

Do you own the rights to use that music? Just wondering becuase it kind of sounds like The Cure. at least the singer does.. LOL That looks pretty good. Nice editing and interesting story...What camera are you using to shoot that with? Or DID you shoot it with?

yea, when i shot 24p, i think it looks so much better. 60i looks horribly videoy no matter what you do to it. 30p is the best bet if you want a filmy look, but still 24p is 4/5 the number of frames of 30p, so there is no comparison. 24p has the jitter of film and looks almost just like it if you pu...

yea, in encore dvd, when you import the dvd , you have to transcode it to 29.97, but how it does it, i don't know, because, when viewed on the computer, it is a non-interlaced picture, and if you click frame by frame in windvd, there is still only 24 frames per second. but it still works on the tv,...

? why would you want to convert it back to 30? if you are making a dvd, its best jsut to leave it at 24 from what i have experienced. What do you mean ' it's best just to leave it at 24 from what you have experienced ' ?? It doesn't matter what the frame rate of the footage is. Unless you happen to...

Re: Website questions
Say, I wanted to shove a bunch of pages into one folder on my webhost server, and I wanted to make a search engine that specificely searched through those pages, you know looked at the metatags and showed a search result page that I design myself. How would I go about doing this? Just use metatags ...

Re: RE: Wondering about encrypting my own work.
So their isn't anything simple, that I could just do to the disc myself? Well this is the info i have: and i have Encore 1.0 so 1.5 + maybe different Understanding copy protection You can use copy protection to limit or prevent duplication of your content. Copy protection is turned off by default f...

RE: Wondering about encrypting my own work.
As far as i know if you have Encore DVD you can add copy protection but it doesn't get applied until you have a duplication house do the burning. It was weird... something like you can set the disc up for copy protection and then if you have a real duplicatoin house do it, then they actually make th...

When you render things out, just use Microsoft AVI ( the non DV avi ) and never set your color settings to higher than they are naturally. You will see a loss of quality when you do that.. i.e. if you out put your graphics and text at Millions of Colors + when it was set normally to Millions of Colo...

Yeah I have the 'lite' version of the 2d3 for premiere pro, and I was damn suprised at how well it worked. Yes, as breton said, it's worth checking out.

ok i found an amazing new technique. it replicates bleach bypass. it really helps, even without any color correction to get rid of the cheap video look slightly. i imagine this effect would work great if you have a 3ccd camera, or especially a mini35 slr attachment. Do you have any screen shots of ...
