RE: car crash

Show the cars "speeding" towards each other (they don't actually have to be, a little bit of adjustment in post is all that is necessary, and they don't really have to come close) then cut to a shot from inside the car facing the passenger (so you can't see the on-coming car, which won't a...

Sorry Rhys, but that has got to be the worst advise I have seen yet. Every one of those replies have got to be the dumbest ideas ever. Do you think rhys might be on edge because someone has to take a shot at him in every single goddamn topic he posts in? Anyways, I like the idea of some sort of gra...

RE: New Age Film (my modest media company) Info and graphics

I'm glad you were going for over the top, because I think my brain haemorrhaged a bit when I saw it. Love the pics though, if not slightly disturbed thereof. Who did the illustration, it's quite good.

You can get video of fire, they come out around Christmas time for people who don't have fireplaces (God knows why this product even exists). But anyways, it does, and you'd just have to play it on a TV off-screen facing the scene.

RE: SOLITARY - Coming soon!

Well, as I type this, the only two people to know about this are Sean and Dave, because they are full of awesome awesomitiness - basically, I am very near completing the final draft of my new shooting script for 'Solitary' and it stands at 59 pages. This will be my first MattHawkins-released film (...

Very sexy Grant, very sexy. And I liked the film too! Effects were up the the usual SI standards and I liked the story even better than Udds Armageddon, and can't wait for the next installment.

Clubbed To Death - Rob Dougan, it can be sad at times Defiantely one of the most overused song by amatuer film-makers, but some of Dougan's other work absolutely screams soundtrack, really good artist that has everything other than the Kurayamino Mix of CTD ignored. Check out the instrumental side ...

Looks good, except I would have gone with a black tie, so as not to distract form the waist-coat. Sounds like a pretty interesting concept for a film!

RE: First song.

I didn't much care for it. It was a bit too repetitive, and felt like it was going to break out into techno at any moment. Don't know what else to say... it's just an opinion.

RE: fight scene (dam it i hate calling them that)

I have three tips: 1.) Faster 2.) Faster 3.) Bloody FASTER!!! The cuts are just way to slow, you are shooting a fight scene, the pace should match the subject. If your actions (punches, climbing, running etc...) cannot be faster (not an insult, it's not easy to stage fight) then you must compensate ...

You have a beautiful way of framing shots, and I have to say your overall cinematography is excellent, especially for using only natural lighting. This is this reason that I never get bored watching your work, however I did find this just a little anti-climactic. Despite looking pretty there was no ...
