I'm lazy so I haven't read everyone's posts yet, but in my opinion never use digital blood unless ABSOLUTELY necessary, a home made fake blood will look much much more real than anything you are capable of doing on your computer.

well, I think it definetly needs some work. At times it was hard to tell exactly what was going on. The digital bullet was extremely fake looking, i personally would not have had the bullet in there at all (i personally never use special effects except when absolutely needed, and i try not to make s...

I've got to agree with Rep22, i think that all of our discussions need to stay well within the realm of legality (if that's even a word, but you get the point)

RE: ADR - video film tip

well, it was interesting and informative, and it also showed how much work and money you put into your movie. Now, since I'm sure that most of us don't have the kind of equioment that you do, it might be helpful to have a mini documentary about how to do this kind of stuff with very low budgets, lik...

I thought it was very good, good sound, and good camera work. I personally would have added a dial-tone sound at the end, but that's just me, it worked fine without.

I know that this thread has been argued to death now but i would like to say something along the same lines as Lawriejaffa. This movie is for you, anyone else who watches it can have their own opinions, but in the end the movie is really for your own benefit and the most important thing is that you ...

Okay, this thing, is a piece of s***. You just took songs for the most popular films you could think of that had artistic integrity. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind for Instance. The music didn't match. The acting sucks. Every single person that was in that trailer sucked so bad. I'm sorry, y...

uhhh...i couldn't find the URL but if you go to Ejits guide to filmaking, they made a squib with a big hand pump and some garden hose which i would assume works something like the squibs for Band of brothers

well, I agree with Vor, the trailer should start out with a phone ring. And so far as the scene where the guy is getting beat up. I am all for the slightly shaky camera during fight scenes, but the camera was not shaking, it was flying around. People get motionsick during that kind of thing, try and...

I think something really sinister would be to have the killer not cover his face. Like in Alec Rossel's "Jack's Habit" Jack seduces women and then strangles them. I found that much more disturbing than scream or any of those kinds of slashers. It needs to be a guy who people know and like,...

i think it's good, and it doesn't necessarily have to be a war film...lots of production titles have nothing to do with the movies they make. I liked it

old fight scene

hey everybody, This is a fight scene which my friend and I filmed more than a year ago, and I have just now got around to putting it online. I myself have found many flaws in it so be as brutal as you want. PS. I'm the funny looking one in the tan coat. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=738621...

Well i think it sounds like an interesting idea...so long as you have the proper resources and budget. I personally wouldn't take on something like that, but to each his own. I think it may be a bit too much for any amateur to be working on, but i really see no point in trying to dampen your spirits...

Ok, I need a camera that can do pretty well for movie making. At least 60 min. tapes, can capture onto computers, a mic. and an external mic. port....Does anyone know of any good cameras like this that i could get for under $350, or even $400, because i really need a camera but i don't have the mone...

RE: Copyright your material through your website!

one way to prove you made something without getting a copywrite is send yourself a letter...Through the mail...that talks about what you did. Then when you get the letter don't open it, just put it somewhere safe, and the postmark will be your proof of date.

RE: Announcement of I Am King LTD

in response to ProdigyFilmsinc. if you make up your own country, or have this set some time in the future (not way in the future but maybe within ten years) then you don't need to worry about uniform accuracy. It sounds like a good idea, but lots of work...Sounds good to me
