BLINDED
Hello everyone, Its been awhile since I last posted a movie here and since I've been reviewing & commenting alot I decided that perhaps I should promote one of my recent short films. Basically, its the 15 min shortened version of our 30 min film. Its quite a long story but basically this is the ...

Haha our school doesnt have any video making classes at all. We have an informal interest group thing which has made almost 15 films thus far over the past 2 years. Its totally done by experience; with no contextual knowledge whatsoever. Basically our 12th film, Vendetta managed to secure a finalist...

My school funded me $2,000 for my filmmaking interest group. We spent it on SWAT vests and guns ^_^. Maybe I'll upload it sometime here.

Hehe nice job. I liked it. Loved the gun flashing on his face when he fired. How did you do that?
Btw are you going to enter it for any competitions? Cuz if you are you need to get original music haha. Not Enya or Air Force One soundtracks.

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: A Walk in the Light Green Traile
chroma keying, smoke animation and other similar effects Yeah I have a question. Are all the explosions I saw in the trailer and all the smoke effects, muzzle smoke, etc (Apart from that shot of real blanks being shot) CGI? I'm familiar with super imposing pictures or other movie files on Adobe Pre...

Well I wouldn't exact call your style a Tony Scott replica although it is close. I would not call it a ripoff either. Scott uses much more speed ups, more additive dissolve, and changes the angles much more quickly then you did.

Yay. I loved The Duel. But why not keep the Tony Scott editing and atmosphere? It was worked pretty damn well.

Wow. Free rides? Nice I love Black Hawks. Beautiful machines. I presume you like them too since one of the songs in your trailer was from Black Hawk Down haha. What kind of cameras do you use, by the way? The quality looks very 'film-ish' if I might say so. Yes it is a pity we didnt win :( Haha thou...

You know its kinda wierd that everyone wants to make a zombie/WWII movie and claims that they can't do anything else because of props/location constraints. Why not do a modern action film? I've not released my own film yet but it seems that very few people here want to make modern action flicks. You...

RE: Re: RE: Re: WWII and Zombies?
Lol we got $2,000 sponsorship/funding for our previous film and it was entirely modern. We created an entire SWAT team with kevlar body armor, M4s, MP5s, etc. etc. etc. Alot of money (Or quite a lot at least) does not mean that you HAVE to do a WW2 movie.

Haha true. I see nothing wrong with DetonationFilms CGIs...But maybe thats cuz' I have no choice. In some parts of the world (Such as where I live), explosives, real blanks, guns, and other cool stuff is totally illegal by law. Hell, even airsoft is illegal! My friend got busted once and is awaiting...

RE: Re: RE: Re: WWII and Zombies?
If you're making music videos for BET, what're you doing on an amatuer filmmaking forum? Whats wrong with that? At the rate we're going, we're all gonna be pretty famous...Well at least pretty well known if we continue to make more and more films. We'll get better and better. The possibilities are ...

I guess we're all caught up with being impressive bruckheimer-wannabes (I'm guilty of that too). Where we embark on super big projects with damn impressive plans to do some big-ass engagements which usually fall flat. Why not try it out? Its the best way to learn haha. Last time we wanted to simulat...

we all do what we wish to shoot and enjoy. Be at peace brothers Agreed. Maybe we're all just sick of it? I dunno. For one, I'm not doing a zombie movie though because our film is still stuck at the editing stage, I'm not gonna post it yet. Haha in fact I shot my new $3,000 laptop with a p99 (Accide...
