uninstall codec and reinstall?

Im wanting more of an effect so that I can put the waves anywhere I want.

I am wanting to add some heat waves off of a car but I have no idea how I might go about this...

any ideas?

I have premiere 6.5 and AE 5.5

we use AE for making multiple people in one shot and for walking into walls and such... I think it is a fairly easy program to use. But like the others suggested, download the trial then find some tutorials and work with it and see how you like it.

I dont get what the big deal is... This site is awesome and they try and have as much stuff to help film makers as possible...what is wrong with that? instead of being so negative just think, "hey thats cool they are helping so much" and if you arent going to use it, DONT

i would think that a green screen would be your only chance at getting close to what you want. without loads of money.... sorry I only have "cr** piece of advice" but....

I would suggest an ati 9800pro you can get them for $200usd from newegg I got my connect3d 9800pro 128mb 256bit retail for like $197 VERY GOOD card for under 200. but of course there is better....but better costs more too

ya, I could build that system for less than $800 usd. what pentium 4, what fsb, what speed ddr ram, what cache hard drive are things that make a computer look good in a flyer but really arent that good. and that vid is garbage. but it might be a nice computer. call and get the info and post that way I can get a better judge of what you are getting.

How much do you want to spend, that will help us more. do you also need a new monitor? are you going to be gaming at all?

what motherboard(make and model), ram(speed and size) and video card do you have? if you oc you really need to match the speeds with the ram, if your ram is too slow oc'ing will kill the comp. Do you have the stock cooling on the cpu? do you have any programs that tell you the temps of the mb and cp...
