Matt, shoot on progressive scan!!!
It gives the footage a film-like look & also saves time de-interlacing when rendering. When i see my JVC DVL-355 footage that hasn't got progressive i cry :( It looks like footage off You've been framed, and that's not a good thing folks!!!

Don't tell me, your friend is Daniel Johns of Silverchair :D

Only kidding!! I do like Silverchair though...

Anyways, i've been recording my own music for my productions & it's quite suprising what results you can get with a half decent keyboard.

You can make gunshot fx with Adobe Premiere (see tutorial on this very site!).

You need Adobe After Effects or Photoshop for your Lightsabers though...

Hmmmm,

I think my CPU isn't fast enough, cause it's flat out & it was gonna take 4+ hours to encode a 13min film from DV footage :o ...compared to about 40mins in Windows Movie Maker :(

DAMN!!! sounded good too.

Hi, What you need to do is, when you click File > export timeline > Adobe Mpeg encoder, you'll see two check boxes... Save to DVDit! media folder Launch DVDit! after export You should uncheck them. That should stop it from trying to burn to a DVD. The M2v file is an mpeg file but without sound attac...

I've done it!! After re-installing Lightwave again nothing changed, so i sat & thought of what i had on my system before i formatted the hard-drive. It was Pinnacle studio for my old DC10+ capture card. I installed that & hey presto it works, even though the footage was captured through a fi...

Lightwave import AVI problem, please help!

Hi, I've just had to wipe my harddrive & re-install everything. I've just re-installed Lightwave 7.5 & started to work on a simple scene. I click on the scene tab, then on the compositing tab & select load image from the background image dropdown menu. When in the file browser, i select ...

Premiere is not an effects program & the effects it does have are limited. The only way i could think of is of you could get some animations on bullet casings with a blue background & apply in the same way as the muzzle flash, but i don't think it will look very effective...i may be wrong th...

Blood splats??

I was thinking of a cool way to have blood splats when people get shot, it's rather like the muzzle flash effect but with animated blood. The only problem is getting the splat of red (blood) i was thinking of using Lightwave....

Does anyone have any thoughts on this??
