Nice try man, worked quite well. I don't think i need to echo the "doesn't work with noir" genre, but i do have to say kudos for filming it as a film noir.

Have watched the godfather so many times and i sitll cant work out how Sonny is able to climb out of the car whilst being shot by about 20people? Also, why does the guy at the end kick him in the face? Thats just taking the p***.

One of my friends in college was robbed at the local co-op when he was working. He had a 12 bore farmers shotgun put to his face. So even in this sleepy corner of the UK there are still guns which are used and technically its legal to own a shotgun like that if you have a licence etc.

I prefered the font on the other one, but the clapper in the middle is good. Also i think the more defined shadow in the first one was better too. But still it's more interesting from my company logo;

Is the XL1s any good? I've found one on ebay for £700, i don't have anywhere near the money for it (It'll take most of my student loan). But i'm preying that for some reason they crash in price so i can snap one up, i'd be out filming right now if i could attach an external mic to the mv750i, but...

RE: Re: Shameless Waynes world tribute

The thing which most p*** me off about it was that my crappy camera just wouldn't focus, and it wasn't because it was dark, i couldn't get it to focus all day when the wide angle lens was on - take the wide angle lens off and you couldn't get anyone else in shot. If any one wants to donate a decent ...

Shameless Waynes world tribute

Sorry, it has to be done. Waynes world is one of the best metal/rock comedies in the world, and this scene helped to fuel Queen's career in the US. Click to view it here : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yNjhiwmX7Is This was just a 5 minute thing me and my mates did the other day with my Canon MV750i...

Bulldog i personally think you are on the right track. Ok, the contrast was off and i think you really needed to white balance it, but its a mistake i know i've made now and then, just forgetting to press one button on your camera doesn't make you a cr** film maker, so don't worry about it. I think ...

RE: Finally got a HVX200

Nice, i really really really need a decent camera i've got a MV750i (which i got 3 years ago to start out with) and there isn't any point using it if you want anything that looks (or sounds) professional. It's got 1CCD and only has a internal stereo mic with no mic inputs, which is really bad. I thi...

Im currently doing a degree in film and media studies which has a good mix of theory and practical production. If you were to wait for USB transfer, you'd probally die of old age before you would see your footage. I was lucky enough to have a laptop which came with a firewire port (and a 17" widescreen) and didn't bother with using USB after i tried it around one of my friends. Pinnicle studio comes wit...

If you only lived a wee bit closer then i'd be down there like a shot.

Geez i wish i had that sort of budget to play with, i'd actually be able to film one or two of the scripts i've written.

Which film school are you at?
