That's true, but I don't mind it.(although I still think Hollywood over-grade these days)

Se7en Color Correction
Been watching the DVD features on Se7en and found a great one that I really enjoyed, thought I'd share the love. Basically a step by step video with commentary on how they color corrected and re-framed shots in the final scene of Se7en. The rest of you may not be as much of a geek for this stuff as ...

I like it: it looks like it'd make a good business card too.

Thanks.
I just ordered a shotgun mic about an hour ago, because I'm getting really fed up with s*** audio.

Not really since I'm perfect and better than everyone else, so I'm allowed to contradict myself and still be right because that's how I roll.Knightly wrote:ironic considering your sig here

RE: Videos Taken Off Youtube?
I had one video taken down, but it had actual footage of people dead and being killed.
I also just had a first on YouTube, someone posted a video of mine on their profile. Thankfully I had my name embedded in the video, and thankfully they just took it off.

RE: The Fallen are Silent
I've had someone else say that: my problem was my crappy in camera mic. Were the last voices okay?

My entry for the True to John Woo comp- I don't think I did a good job of being true to him, besides a few things I copied from his movies and some of his trademarks. To tell you the truth I'm alittle hesitant to post this because it just seems so horribly bad. But hey whatever. Yes, there was origi...

Holy God. Awsome effects! You do realize you now are obligated to share how you did those. :P Really nice: my only problem is how flat the picture looks. I don't know if your white balance is off, or you're purposely doing that- but that's the only thing that bugged me. Oh! And the constant VO's fro...

Re: RE: Re: RE: What a F***ing Cool Commerical
thats nasty, i love the 2d made into 3d stuff... its just a cool feeling.. kinda like the Bond openings I remember halfway through making it I remembered about the Casino Royale opening, so I was alittle afraid it may have some things that were similar: thankfully I didn't see too much... besides t...

Dolly shots looked really nice. The gunfire through the newspaper was pretty cool, except for the camera cut to a tripod shot- don't know why people feel the urge to put things on tripods when they're doing a big shot (I tend to do it too). The guy dying on the ground was long as hell. Color correct...

RE: Boredom + Home Alone = This
I liked the build up: my only thing is alot of the shots seemed the same, just you walking by the camera- alot. And the gun sound sounded like cr**, so it sort of detracted from the holy s*** factor of you getting blown away. Maybe speed up the initial head jerk so it looks more impactful.

What a F***ing Cool Commerical
Not really, but it's made by me so it should probably read "What a F***ing Shitty Commercial." I got bored and wanted to do a commercial type thing, so if anyone asks if I could I show them a semi incompetent pile of trash (this). About a night's works; nothing is 3d: all of it is still pi...

It actually kind of bothers me some when people get too big into this "lose yourself, become your character" bullsh_t. Because lemme tell you, you'll never rid yourself and become someone else, even subconsciously the way you move is all YOU. You just have to build from yourself. I could ...

maj_barnes, If you wanna make a thread bashing macs, I am sure it will get plenty of visits. Where did I ever bash Macs? I may bash whiny pompous Mac users, but never the computer itself (I don't care for them though). It's a damn computer and getting into arguments over which piece of s*** is bett...

RE: The WW2 movie I
As always, top notch. Great job on the color correction, turned out very nice and bleak. I'm surprised your FPS was as high as it was during the battle scene, I know my computer would have been lagging real bad with FRAPs running.
