Hello people!!!
I'm about to buy some storyboarding software - anyone here got any you wanna tell me about?
Seriously, what's the "industry standard"? and what do you guys recomend?
So far I've looked into Frameforge and Storyboard Artist/Quick
Any help appreciated - and for those of you who don't use storyboards, start to. They seem sooo damn useful:D
Cheers,
John

I storyboard but I don't use software, I hand draw each frame in printed out storyboard interfaces to free. It's much easier this way I think.

Story boarding is an awesome way to plan your film. But like gyro said, if you have any artistic ability (and even if you dont) do it by hand and put the money into the actual movie

Does anybody have some pre-made story board templates that can be printed out and then drawnn into?

I also hand draw storyboards. I have a usual set page of around 3-5 camera changes and acting directions

Only done storyboarding once. I find It's easier to make camera angles and such on the set.

The same with me. I think it's actually really hard to draw out exactly what you want to see in the film, especially if you've never been to the location that you're filming at. Maybe you'll notice a better angle once you get there.

Especially since all my drawings look like stick people...
I don't really see the need to story board, unless it's CG or something. A script is practically the same thing.

Storyboards are not the "etched in stone" rule once you get on set. They are great for ideas and approches. Once onset you can improvise more and improve

Storyboarding on computer? How terrible! Do it by hand!
