THEY'RE DOWN! THEY'RE DOWN!

Sorry, couldn't help it; had to show off my trip photos somehow.

Although it is Korea stuff, it's almost the same as WW2.

Korean War Memorial at Washington DC, you can see the Lincoln Memorial in the background.

There was about 15 or 20 guys out there; pretty cool.

Korea isn't anything like World War Two... You should know that. The monument is a classic, and you sound like you are almost insulting our veterans' history.

The movie should be up soon!

How?

I said WW2 stuff is almost like Korea; not the two wars in comparison.

Most of the gear is different... similar patterns, but everything OD, different stampings, etc.

I am scared to ask if that weapon is deativated too... :|

Who the hell in the right mind would pay $2300 for a shitty non-firing MP-40 not even made from matching original parts!?

A deactivated Garand for $650, not even matching serials and RUST I see!?!? You can get a functioning one for that much!!!

And a non-working Mosin Nagant for $250? Damn... I thought the firing ones here for $59 were expensive...

Yep, it's a pretty darn expensive place!

haha...you can bring in lethal weapons, just not replicas (considered non lethal).

So, you could bring in a large pellet rifle (that has to be considered lethal by the customs guy) without any paperwork, and you can't bring in a completely harmless resin replica. Nuts I say!

Okay, my birthday just went by on Monday, and I'm about to buy a cr** load of gear. I just want to get some things straight before spending money.

First, I was going to get a few jackets similar to M1943, but I'm not sure if the 2nd Rangers used those or was it just the M1941, some renactment websites said that they would only accept the M1941.

Did they use any type of green leggings, or was it just kaki?

Also, was the musette bag an accessory or was it a replacement for a haversack?

Which was more used by the 2nd Rangers: Thompson ammo pouch (like carried by Tom Hanks in SPR) or the pouch with individual pockets for each magazine.

Okay that's it. Thanks for any answers.

Dependent on when your film, or reenactment takes place. D-Day, you're going to want an M41, Battle of the Bulge, I'd go for the M43. As for the leggings, khaki, unless again you're doing Battle of the Bulge, go for double buckled boots. Ammo packs? Depends on the gun, you can't carry thompson clips in a garrand ammo belt.

I was going for stuff before Battle of the Bulge since it doesn't snow in Florida. And I wasn't talking about using the garand ammo pouches, I was talking about something like these

But I did find the ones that Tom Hanks used for $80 with 6 30 round magazines included.
