New WWII American Impression

Post by tallman_house_pictures »

Hey guys,
Kenny and a few others have been asking for some pics of my garand so I put together all my latest gear for an impression. This impression would be the Market Garden era (based on the m-43 jacket).

ALL the gear in this pic is accurate (exept the pants which are just a pair of Cargo Pants)

Gear:

Head: M1 Helmet (with correct WWII chinstrap) with net, WWII liner (with leather liner chinstrap). The helmet also has the spade (506 PIR) on it exept it is not visible in this pic.

Clothing: M43 field Jacket (Purchased in Utah!!!), and the cargo pants as stated above)

Webbing: Web belt, Pistol Ammo pouch, Brown leather .45 holster, British made carlisle bandage pouch, standard entrenching tool with cover, and M1936 (m36) combat/field suspenders.

Weapon: Standard issue .30-06 M1 (Garand) Rifle.

Image

For the record, this is me! (yes, I look kind of evil with the angle)

Looks nice, I really like the Garand. Is that a green screen? If so you might want to go with blue...

Looks great!

Might want to stuff some stuff in the bandage pouch though.

You are wearing a pistol belt with mag pouches, but have nowhere to store your M1 ammo! You should have a cartridge belt. Also, you want to get a musette bag and a nice set of uniform wools! :D

What're you trying to pull a paratrooper or a infantry guy? Although they both wore m43's, the infantry and paratroopers had much different webbing

Sometimes you can find a pair of new production Corcorans in a store under $100. What a smashing deal! :)
