You made the HDRI tests? I swear by god I've seen those before! I like the freaky girl too. :)

I do a lot in 3ds Max, but not as much character work as I'd like. Mostly it's mechanical animations and prototype desgn work for corporations. But it's all fun stuff! Good work, man!

thats pretty damn good apart from lighting and improoving the texture... one question though... you have some sort of animated clip map and then an animated depth map what do you use the depth map for?

naflish, thx, the texture is indeed not the best, it needs let's nor ad less blue..

DEDFX: it's made with Icarus- free for tracking, blender-free for modelling, effects, and Final Cut Express, video editor to slap everything together/ on top of eachother.

Aaronv2: that's not a depth map, everything that white is ice and evrything black isn't. so it shows the ice becomes thicker.

Some shots from a fan film I was working on years ago. All the 3D was done in Bryce:

Quick 1min video from last year with a little bit 'o 3D for the canon and resulting heavy laser fire:
http://www.jushhome.com/nick/media/tfn_ ... id_006.mov

Just some old messing around with match moving to put my daughter in the cockpit of a Battlestar Galactica Viper:
http://www.jushhome.com/nick/media/jess_02_test_001.mov

Part of a martial arts training DVD I produced a few years ago w/some bullet time effects and a bit of 3D:

Have fun.

Job- Is there any way you could supply us with Icarus. I've been searching all over for it, and can't find it anywhere, and I understood it to be a free application? If you can help, that'd be great!

Job, that was sick! From seeing that you used FCE, I'll guess that Icarus works on Macintosh...yay!

Never could get the hang of blender...:(

yep, how do you guess? :D
this is a test, so this technic will i be using for the final movie
(which is done with other blenderpeoples)
btw, i made a tut about it: http://www.elysiun.com/forum/viewtopic. ... highlight=

anyone else has to show something? it should'nt become a 'Job' thread ;)

clarence: FCE has nothing to do with Icarus, and Icarus is for PC and mac. Just check the link above for the pc version.
something i totally not understand is why people think blender is hard, i'm almost wondering how easy it will be when i've got maya lol :P

Yeah, I posted four clips, but my timing was off. It was just a couple posts after yours and no one cares. :P

Great stuff you've got going. Keep up the great work!
