Make somthing really impressive. But don't go over the top, or else it will look chessy. Make your logo stand out in some sort of way.

Yea, for mine I was stuck inside because it was poring, and I notice a puddle outside and the water splashing. And that's where I got my idea for mine from.

The 3D itself isn't very complex, a few rotating rings and a light object with lens effects behind. It doesnt use any fancy lighting or modeling, but it serves its purpose very well!

Regardless of how much work it took, it's a very impressive piece of work. I don't know much of anything about 3D work, so to me, it would be difficult and time consuming...Just depends on your perspective. Good work though...

Hey I gotto say Fabian Jansen your intro rocks. We have one but its like an hour long lol and it
sucks a**. Its basically the pov of a speeding car, then everything explodes then the sledge films
logo flashes to some funk music. Expect a new logo for the new movie....we need a change.
I'm loving your guys intro's though, looking at some indie companys logos that make it into
cinema and on dvd, we can do alot better.

Here's mine: Opener, Quicktime

It's really simple...but that's why I like it. :)
