RE: In ww2 movies
The italian army would be quite interesting. I think it'd be neat to do a movie about the Italian campaign in Africa. Well here's what I know about the Italian WW2 army. Pistol - Beretta 1934, Rifle - Carcano M91 (Bolt-Action), SMG - Beretta 1938A, LMG - Breda 30. If any of you want anymore info try these to pages:

You see I am a newbie to filmaking and I am filming a series. Its follows an American paratrooper (101st 501 P.I.R). I could not stand the idea because I wanted to do British and I personally think there are too many American war films. But for some reason I was drawn to the idea. But either way ct bullet

For one, America kicked Germany's a**. Britain was trying hard at the time not get their own a** kicked by Germany. Hence people love America vs. Germany movies.

Umm... what? Last time I checked, the Battle of the Bulge was fought in January of 1945, with only around 16,000 British soldiers fighting. There were of course Canadian and French forces, but the bulk of the Allies was made up of 500,000 American soldiers (pretty sure it's that number)

Yeah... there wasn't another Battle of the Bulge.
I guess it's the thought of fighting Nazis is cool. There have been a good number of PTO movies and people complained about them.
I actually have seen other countries uniforms for sale, but American, German, and British outfits seem to be the most common. Never seen a Chinese ww2 uniform before!

Well if you want to see an WW2 flick that doesn't involve the americans and the nazis go make it. As for most people its probably easy to just do it that way being that we don't have acsess to train that would look like anything other the europe and we as people can't pass as anything but european, hell half of us probably half some german in us.

No, chinese nationalists were supplied by pre-war germany, so many had a khaki version of the early war wermacht uniform. dont forget however there was a civil war happening at the time, and the opponents to the nationalists (communists) wore 'typical' chinese clothing. One possibiltiy that if I had access to a desert I would love to do (and funding) is a 'cry wolf' by Wilbur Smith style action, of ethiopean tribesmen armed with 19th-ww1 weapons against the cream of the Italiens, and doing rather well!

Actually the Japs only got owned by the atomic bomb AFTER both Italy and Germany were defeated. In fact, even though the Japs were losing on virtually all fronts, they refused to surrender and wanted to fight to the death (I.e. Kamakazi and death for emperor, etc.) until the atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. We really only kicked the Italians and Japs a** by the time we got to Europe

Epsilon has a nerve Britian had already beat the germans in the battle of Britian and north africa before the Americans realy got involved e.g. d-day onwards plus we crushed the italians in africa before the germans even arrived plus we supplied the russians and had beat the german navy loads of times and against all odds had manged to hold on to malta which was important for disrupting supply lines to africa and controlling the mediterrainian and we'd been fighting the japenese so apart from giving us some extra man power america didnt do that much but if they hadnt got involved the whole of europe would have fell into the communist block so you have to be greatful

This can go no-where but down, competing for which country contributed the most in WWII? Okay: Great Britian held out against incredible odds during the battle of Britain, never gave up and fought to the bitter end of the Third Reich and Imperialist Japan. America, though late in entering the war, expended massive support in the years leading up to 1941/42 through the lend-lease program, then orchestrated Operation Overlord, fighting just as hard to the gates of Berlin, not to mention the hard fought battle for every Japanese held island in the Pacific. Russia made the greatest sacrifice in terms of population devoted to the war effort, and with the support of the Western allies pushed the Germans back on the fiercest and largest front in history. Canada fought alongside Britain from the very begining taking part in every major campaign, and was the only landing force to meet and exceed their goals on D-Day. The Australians fought their own war against the Japanese, fighting nearly alone for three years while the Japanese overran the majority of the Pacific ocean. The brave efforts of guerilla forces in occupied Europe are often overlooked, but no-one can deny their incredible bravery in the face of overwhelming adversity. Every country fought to the very brink of collapse to defeat the monstrosity of fascism, and we should not dishonour the memory of the brave men (and women) who fought for our freedom in WWII by arguing which of our countries "fought best" in the war.
