I dont really have the vocabulary to ask this question properly...so bear with me.
basically I'm wondering if theres an option in lightwave 8 that would allow me to use a video clip as a background image so that I can better incorporate the 3d graphics when I animate them...
does that make sense?
like somehow put my clip "behind" my 3d models and have it move along with my timeline so that I can get all the motions right....
if you could help me I would be eternally grateful,
thanks

RE: lightwave 8 composite question
Well it can be done in lightwave 7 (I know because I did it myself).
As long as your video is in uncompressed AVI format, you should be able to change your background to the video.
(I'm away from home right know, so I can't tell you the exact step-by-step instructions. But it's pretty easy.)

RE: lightwave 8 composite question
Click d, or o, and at the bottom is an option to set the backdrop as your background. You have to have the image set as a backdrop.
