Muzzle Flash For Windows Movie Maker
I use Windows Movie Maker (That's why I leave the editing for my better movies for my friends with Final Cut) and I was just wondering if there was ANY way to add in a muzzle flash. Thanks!
If it can be written, or thought, it can be filmed.

It's such a basic program. Quite frustrating.

you could cut a muzzle flash to size and basic area of the screen, hope that when you import it, it works- no it probably cannot be done

yes u can add muzzle flashes to movie maker. i do it all the time. use a photo shop program (decent enough) then screen capture the frame you want and draw in , paste etc a muzzle falsh on it and save as a pic. then go back in to it and trim the pictures time. insert it to where the frame was and there u go

just spend some money... JackBauerII ive seen you on alot lately asking how to light certain this and make "big" sets.... i can;t see that you don't have a better editing program..... in my eyes that is a little more important than the camera..... or even sets....

I'm definitely going to get a better program soon. Mickcar, I tried your method and it worked pretty well. Looked sort of rough but it worked. Thanks!

Yeah, I was just about to say Micakr's method but got to the thread to late… . Yeah, I use it, but hoping to get Final Cut Express thing soon. Talking about that, are there any good editing programs, freeware or not for Mac? iMovie is pretty good, but doesn't have multiple video tracks…

DUDE, I specialize in this, all you have to do is take pic of where you want to muzzle flash to be. Then open that pic in paint. (Your comp. comes with it) Then get the muzzle flash archive from the sire here and open one of those in paint as well. So now you have WMM and 2 paint progs going at the same time ok. Then you cut out the black around the muzzle flash and now its a white background. the selsector tool and drag the box around your muzzle flash (MF). the selector tool is the tool on the top of the right row. Once you do that copy it then maximize your pic of you shooting the gun. Once you do that get the selector tool and paste it and make sure you click the button that takes away the white. You know where that is right? Then, match it up to the gun and save the picture. Once you do that import the pic in WMM and put it where you just took your picture and shorten the pic down VERY small, add 5 speed up doubles and one brightness increse to brighten the room and then shorten it down as small as possible. And the add SFX and your rockin. Ask any more questions and ill help you ok.
