What ratio do you guys normally use for widescreen? After you pick your ratio do you add anything else to make it look widescreen?

Do most of you record in 16:9 when shooting or do that in post?

I usually throw it into AE and squeeze it myself until it looks good.

RE: WideScreen
i shoot fullscreenn then in AE crop it to 1:85... cause on my cam, shooting fullscreen is the best resoulution.. and i put electrical tape on the LCD to show me what will be in frame

RE: WideScreen
I attach my wide angle lens and then set my camera to shot in 16x9 and thats how I do widescreen. Granted the feture on the cam without the lens just presses the picture and streches it a bit. but hey thats my cost me a lot way to do widescreen.

RE: WideScreen
I just shoot in 16:9
When I first started out with a Hi-8, it shot in 4:3, so I just put a garbage matte on the top and bottom and resized it until it looked good.
