Can anyone suggest a sound editing program that is either free or cheap, I need it to do the following.....
1) import instrumental music from a CD I have....
2) Import sound effects that are stored in my computer
3) Be able to edit both together and adjust various sound levels so I can have both the music + effects at a volume so you can hear both clearly.
4) Put them on a CD so I can then import the finished sound file into another program.....
thanks
Sound editing program, hopefully free or cheap......

Its just my editing software is rather cheap, I have the pinnacle studio movie box (cr** I know) and an analogue camera.......
The plan is too make a decent "sound file" and then add it too my movie footage.
