EDIT: oh i forgot to say, the shooting yourself one is hillarious... you come out and then the other you shoots you and you are all like f*** you and you are on the floor saying "ill get you!, you... ME!"
and then i look like a fool... but it is funny how dissapointed you look when you get shot

I noticed. No one else has yet. Well spotted :) Sort of spoils the AK action once you notice the paw ....

In reality he wanted food ... having only been fed 5 minutes before. To teach him a lesson I gave him a full mag of 7.62mm ...

It was fairly stressful shooting myself, having only ever shot other people before ;)

Alright, the shooting yourself, that was just random. Needed blood effects and whatnot. Then, the one of you firing the AK47, well... First off, the kickback: I barely saw any. AK47's have insane kickback, so to have none is completely unrealistic. Now, for the muzzle flash. That would be much much bigger than it was. It would also slightly change shape, not continuously be an exact duplication. Just my tips. I know this was probably a test... and a random one at that, but it could still be improved upon.

I like the extended mag on the AK47. Very cool. I agree with the flashes changing shape more and the kick being greater.

But i love it!!!!!!

Noted the points about the kickback.

It was a test but when I do it for real I'll alter the shape of the muzzle flash. Maybe 4-5 different shapes randomly used? I used one frame of flash every other frame of footage.

Number of rounds per magazine wasn't something I bothered with as you may have noticed :-)

Oh and when I actually film the real footage I'll make sure there are no cats around.

I liked the flow of used "bullets" (what the hell are they called) that came out of the gun..

How can you extend the shells to fall all the way down and not just disapear in mid air?

The only problem I noticed with the AK video is that the muzzle flash is always in the same exact spot, no matter where the barrel is. I know this was just a test to make sure all this stuff works, but, It was reakky noticeable to me. Aside from that, it was pretty awesome. Good work!:)

Fair point. Because I used a muzzle flash every 2 frames for 10 seconds there were lots of them! Not sure if there would be an easy way to keep them inline with the barrel other than position each one by hand.

If I used this sort of effect for real it would only be seen for a few seconds so I suppose there would only be 25-40 frames to position. Which isn't too bad if you want it to look good.

I would also aim to use a number of slightly different shaped flashes rather than just use the same one repeatedly.

I used Premiere's motion settings to position and size the muzzle flash which was just a static jpeg image.

Premieres motion settings is TERRIBLE to place anything accurate with. Can't blame you for just leaving it on the same spot..

Yeah that's my main annoyance with Premiere, the preview windows are soooooo small!

I tend to use the co-ordinate numbers to make sure the motion points are in the same place ... but that isn't much help. It always puzzled me and Adam why the hell Adobe didn't make those preview windows a decent size. At least give you the option of making them bigger.
