Has anyone entered any films in any film festivals?
I made a film 2 years ago when i was 15 which i was going to enter into film festivals back then, but looking back now, it really wouldn't stand a chance. I'm writing a script now for a new film which i would like to shoot next year and enter into film festivals.
Have any of you guys entered any films in any film festivals. If you did, which ones, and did you manage to get any awards or anything...

The film I'm shooting now, I hope to one day enter into a festival. There's a bunch up here in Seattle.

ive entered our first film "Crimson Duel" in about 5 or 6 film festivals. We won for best student feature in the CRI film fest, and got a special achievement in student filmmaking award at the Wild Rose Ind. Film Fest. Also, at the IMPA awards, we were one of 5 kinda 2nd place achievement awards. These are all Iowa film festivals. We'll be entering our next film "Dead Rose" in quite a few I'm hoping.

I've never entered anything, but I hope to enter the one I'm working on now in at least one. There just aren't many around here, THe nearest one I know about is one that hapens closer to Carnage7p's house than mine and that's in the middle of summer.

Thanks! Entered it in to some other festivals and things too which was a laugh. One festival nominated it for 'Best Script', not bad for something that had 90% improvised dialogue!Originally posted by Jass Films

Same with all my films. However i think that is because if they improvise, it helps them to not learn the script.... Actors are lazy and don't like to learn scripts, so they improvise. And also it bring out a little bit of the actor in the character. One festival nominated it for 'Best Script', not bad for something that had 90% improvised dialogue!

Carnage7p. I am interested. Especially since that is where my cousin lives. Now I have an excuse to go. If you could find a website about it I would be forever thankful. And yes, I was talking about the Waterfront Film Festival

I'd like to know how to enter into the Cannes. Just curious, could you find out if they know what the entry requirements are?Originally posted by CamClub
All I seem to be entering at the moment is avatars, and winning each competition!
My Kung Fu teacher has acted in a movie as Bruce Lee. It's being shown at the Cannes Film Festival next year.
I've been in some. They're like film festivals. It usually receives a lot of entries in my catagory (humor) and its all short film. I've placed pretty good, including 5th out of hundreds entries nationwide.
