Anyone else go for a mixed product line?
Does anyone else have a huge variety in the brands of software you have? Most people tend to buy the Adobe production bundle and they're set. But I on the other hand have Vegas instead of Premiere, Combustion instead of After Effects, Sound Forge and Acid instead of Audition, and Paint Shop Pro instead of Photoshop.
I guess I just have something with Adobe. Anyone else this way?

Sorta yes & no here.
Pretty much no Adobe anymore for me. I used to use Premiere and Photoshop, but then faced the prospect of shelling out more $$$ do to effects with After Effects, plus upgrade all three apps all the time.![Sad :(](./images/smilies/icon_sad.gif)
I still keep my old copy of Photoshop 5 around for photography, but for video ...
Switched to Media Studio Pro.
This one product covers everything I would have needed to combine Premiere, Photoshop and After Effects to get. (you guys aren't gonna ban me now, are ya?
)
I also do a lot of web work, so Macromedia Studio MX is around and occationally gets some use in video projects. (Fireworks or Flash)
Some other add-ons...
WonderTouch : ParticleIllusion
Corel Bryce
dvGarage 3dToolkit
Discreet 3dMax (still learning this one, so it really doesn't get "use" yet).
Oh, yeah, most important of all: MS Internet explorer (gotta keep up to date on all my favorite forums
)
Have fun.

I do like Adboe Premiere, I haven't turned back since using Premiere and Photoshop for the first time... Doesn't mean I buy Nike trainers every time, I just use anything that does the job ![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)
I use Combustion as opposed to After Effects, only really 'cus it looks prettier![Wink ;)](./images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)

WHY THE HELL ARE YOU USING MOVIE MAKER 2 TO EDIT WHEN YOU HAVE PREMIERE 6.5???
I only use it for WMV exportation, which is better than Premieres
But for editing, there's no contest, even if you only know extreme Premiere basics.

Same here... Strange. I use Both Premiere and imovie. Premiere on the PC and imovie on the mac. It depends on what i'm doing. If i'm making a movie i'll use premiere, else if i'm doing videos for people on like trips and stuff i will use imovie.yet Premiere crashes every 5 minutes on every PC I've had.

Well to be fair Premiere works in EXACTLY THE SAME WAY AS MOVIE MAKER
You've got the added bonus of the cutting tools and several other better editing tools which you can use as you wish.
Movie Maker has the annoying problem of messing you about when trying to expand clips... And it deinterlaces shots at random, especially for dark shots, when using fades and brightening filters.
