Light Sabers
Anybody ever try them? I never really liked Star Wars or light sabers, but I took a little visit to www.ryan-w.com and looked into the tutorial section and went to the light saber video tutorials and watched. And I decided to give it a little test. I had only about four and a half(4.5) seconds of video to edit. Oh ya, I used After Effects, not Photoshop. And it took me about...like...around...4 HOURS to edit it! But it was also my first time trying this effect. The results looked really good. Anybody else try this effect? And where they happy with the way it looked?

Yeah, I've done this a lot with Media Studio Pro. (wrote this tutorial on how)
Nothing amazes people more than seeing you swing a "real" lightsaber !

Yeah, but I did lightsaber gag reels. You know, Lightsaber comes out, and then droops down towards the floor. And my favorite, a guy fires up his lightsaber, and swings it, then starts running, and the light part stays where its at, and he keeps going. Turns around, grabs it, screws it into the handle, and continues his fight sequence. Sounds pretty cheesy, but it got quite a few laughs...

You could even use a flourescent light bulb as the saber blade, so you get a live glow! It would work, however you couldn't whack anything without it breaking!
