DVD Formats

Post by wildabeast009 »

Whats the diffrence from DVD+R and DVD-R? I saw them in a store and they look exactly the same. Which one is best for burning movies on?

It is widely debated which one is better, in fact, there is an advocacy organization for each one (i'm not kidding!). Anyway, its pretty much up to you, but eventually one will most likely be phased out, which right now looks like it might be DVD+R, but it's anyone's guess. Just make sure you have a dual-format burner, so when one does get phased out, you will still be able to use the other type of disk, and your burner won't be trash!
