My Screenwriting Program!

Post by chchaisson1 »

I decided that the last version of my cPlay program was terrible, so I made a brand new version! Please try it, I think you'll like it.

cPlay is basically a program that helps you on the way with writing your script. It takes care of things such as margins, tabbing, styles, fonts etc. so that your script looks professional! The new version also lets you create a title page.

This program requires Microsoft Word with Macros enabled (don't worry if you don't know what Macros are).

DOWNLOAD: cPlay Version 2.0 (file size less than 45 kb)

Right Click, Save As:

Please report any errors or things you don't like!

if you mean "how do I use a .dot file?", just open the file like a Word Document by double clicking on it. Or, go into MS Word, click open and select cplay2.dot from wherever it is. I can make it a .doc file if you want.

I am currently working on a user manual.

Okay. Try this: Go to the View menu and click Toolbars. From Toolbars see if there is a toolbar called cPlay Toolbar 1. There should be. Click it.

Ok, screw this. Stick with Final Draft. Its the best. Stupid plugins to MSWord Suck. Anything involving the MSWord program is always trash. MSWord is just an inferior program for Screenwriting. Nice for reports and presentations, but not professional script writing.

Ah, thank you. You can go spend $600 on Final Draft, and see if I care. If you really think my program sucks (which you obviously do), than you can leave this topic and go critisize someone else.

Ahh, well, I forgeting this, don't see a toolbar thing, anyway, all I can use is notepad, wordpad, and Microsoft works. For some reason MSWord won't work. So, I can't use this, I'd like to, but won't be able to.

Very true.....however....I thinks anyone who buys a $600 screenwriting program is nuts.....no screenwriting program is worth more than $20, So I prefer to just to use free, or very low priced screen writing programs.

But the nuisance that is, when you made ONE bloody error that needs fixing, you can't just [insert] it! You gotta rewrite the whole page!

Oh, I was talking expression wise, of course type it up, but you don't need any fancy programs or anything, as long as you know the format.
