Hey guys uhh for christmas i went and baught a whizz bang digital still camera and ive been playing around with it a bit untill i discovered that pictures taken as RAW compression can be used as HDR Images for 3d animation and what not. So I Took a photo it looked great lit by the image i took but i knew that if the model was reflective it wouldnt reflect its environment properly. SO i went and got my fisheye lens and used that... It had way more FOV but it wasnt the whole thing I discovered (after just trying to stitch 40 odd pictures from just using a tripod and rotating a bit) that 3 fisheye are needed to get the whole environment. I use 8 fisheye images in order to get the environments i have to show for you now. There still is some work for me to do to get them looking completely clean but there okay now...
This is the result of 8 stitched fisheye shots. a full 360 degree by 360 degree view of that point in space... once mapped onto a sphere of course... So anyway if you have quicktime and you would like to wonder what it is like to have that mapped around you like a 3d animated object behold!

So anyway I took these images converted them into HDR images and put them in lightwave... I chose one of my back garden and well the results you can watch right here...

so its just kinda weird what you can render now with natural light they seem to jump out more...
