Video Stabilizer Software

I am new to this forum so please forgive me if this question has been ask and answered before. I did use the search but couldn't really find anything with it. So with that said. What is the best video stabilizing software, I try to shoot as stabile as I can but from time to time I get a scene I wish just looked better. Any help or ideas you guys have would be greatly appreciated.

adobe after effects has a motion stabiliser option under animation on the top toolbar. other than that theres a few programs that specifically do stablisation but i havent used any of them

Yeah I am looking for something maybe that is really really good at it.

Doesn't degrade the picture and so on.

Anyone??? Come on I know there has to be someone who uses software to stabilize scenes.

Oh yeah, I actually have made that exact model, and it works very very good. I guess I got a taste of the new Adobe plugin SteadyMove and loved the effect of it, made one scene seem like I was on rails...and that is what I am looking for. But I was looking for maybe a plugin that was even more robust, or maybe a seperate program that works better. I think I am going to have to build a rig that runs on rails and get the shots I want. I don't see another way around it.

No such software/hardware exists. The concept behind stabilization requires enlargement of the pixels. The picture loses quality no matter what the program claims! You are asking for the impossible, though there are many that do a good job at keeping the image clean-looking.

The best way is to get it steady from the beginning.

I guess what I meant was not degrade it to much. I agree getting a clean shot from the get go is the best way, but alas sometimes that is not always the case, and out of all the retakes the one I usually like the performance on, is the one that ends up with the camera getting a little more shake then I like.

I've found with practice, a heavy tripod opened up can be used to give steadicam-like motions. Play around with that idea.

Steady move is about the best post stabilization I know of, it's the only one we've tried, and degradation of the image is all but Nil in a broadcast environment...

Combustion's stabilizer is also very good. Although once again, it will degrade the image qulity to some degree,

Adobe Premiere Pro has two plug ins that stabilize video. Staedy Move and Digital Video Stabilizer.

They both work well.

There's also Arcsoft Video Stabilizer and Digistudio. Do a google search, I'm sure you'll find them. They are pretty affordable.
