If I'm not mistaken it was usually pretty rare for an officer to carry a shotgun - usually they'd only have a sidearm or a standard issue rifle.

Chuck Norris seemed to use several types and they all carried unlimited rounds of high gasoline explosions.

An officer wears the exact same uniform as any other soldier in the US Army.

If I can, I will. I'll have to see when I get the money.

Hahahahaha. You're kidding.

Helicopters: It'll either cost you hundreds of thousands to get em... OR ...no more than a couple dollars.

The best thing to do is find museums, collectors, and relics that people will let you use for a film. Interior scenes are simple. Any semi-vintage Huey will work great. Exterior, it is unlikely you will be able to get anyone to fly a 60s era chopper these days for free. You can ask, but I tend to build 1/24 scale models. There are also 3d models you can build or get.

Oh sure they would! You never have to reload and the bullets blow up buildings! Just like Schwarzengger movies too! :P I'm just messing with your mind.

Nono I mean some people WILL start up an old huey for you, though unlikely. Almost all will let you film inside one though.

HOORAY! I also bought We were Soldiers and i borrowed Full Metal Jacket. I know wut the back pack looks like now, I just cant find it anywhere.

Anyway, since i watched both movies, I have a slightly better sense of war now, more ideas.

For starters: We did not win the war. :) haha

It's not a back pack. They used early war canvas style M56 butt packs in We Were Soldiers. I know that film inside and out, studied that movie, I did, and read the book. It's good too. Both are a good films. Remember that Full Metal Jacket is about Marines and much later in the war than We Were Soldiers! Read books; they offer far better insight than any movie can.

Okay, JMBOWZER5. The silver handles weren't used in Vietnam. It might have been a fashion trend for the subdued look... or maybe just the fact it wasn't a shiny, gleaming target to be shot at. Shorty USA is expensive, you can find everything there for less than half the prices at other places.
