Body explosion

How could i do this effect, i really dont need the entire body but maybe like just getting a head to to this or maybe like the upper torso or an extemity how is this effect done?

It's all in the editing. Just blow up a dummy. Cut from the actor to the dummy just as it blows. It doesn't even have to be very realistic dummy. As long as the explosion happens in the same spot the audience just saw the actor in.

Small charges, like you would use to blow up most anything.

structurally weaken the dummy to ensure that is does fly apart.
