This is an old new's clip, but is show's a bunch of bot's I made years ago. They are not hard to make, and would make cool props for someone's short.

You can make anything you want with simple household stuff. All you need to do is look for the first, step. What is step #1 on a robot. make the shape, what kind of shape. Then look for something that look's like that shape.
A mailbox two pots and pans, a broken fan, and a dead VCR, and BANG, ya got a dog bot.
The real trick is to make all the big stuff one color first, then use hot glue to add wire's, sprockets, and shiny blinking stuff.
The best stuff to use can be found in the trash.
