Ok, well this has been bugging me for quite some time. and ive searched google already, for about a week straight. ok bear with me here as i try to explain it. Usually it happens at the end of s song sequence in a movie and it sounds as the music is fading out, but fading up, like it seems the music is fading into the sky, not going quiet or something. they do it a ton in movies but i can't find a movie exactly. if you can help any....
thanks,
zacatac

Something to do with fading the volume down and panning from one speaker to the other side?

Are you sure it isn't another sound effect that overrides it?

I think that gradually taking the bass out, and than fading that rest out would have this effect.

No problem. I think movies also do that sometimes when the music fades from the soundtrack onto a radio or TV in the movie.

Well, if you have an adjustable EQ in your editing program...you can layer two tracks over each other: one with the original song, and another with the bass taken out (using the the EQ). Then just fade the original one out so you're left with the bassless one.
