What editor do you use?
What do you use to edit your movie and how much did it cost if anything at all?

Because, afaik, the industry standard AVID which gets used on a majority of Hollywood films (Media Composer Adrenaline with Avid DNxcel) is part of a turnkey system that needs specific, compatible hardware. You can't leech it off Bittorrent.
I personally use Premiere Pro 2.0, but I've worked on both Avid Symphony and Final Cut Pro 6 for film school work. Definitely prefer Premiere, mainly because I'm not a big fan of the Mac OS and Avid is a lot more linear in terms of structuring clips.

Premiere Pro 2 for editing, AE 7 for compositing. I also use a bunch of other stuff like Boujou, XSI, Max, Photoshop... I only own the licenses for Premiere and AE, but my university rather conveniently has academic copies of other stuff. They even have Massive (the crowd sim software used in Lord of the Rings) which I hope to give a go at some point during my degree.

Corrrrrrect. Anything that makes my life easier, however, is a winner in my books.maj_barnes wrote:It doesn't matter what you use, just what the end result is.This comes up all the time. Why dont u just get AVID or something? Its used by professionals in ALOT of movies. '

Pinnacle Studio verson 10 but I upgraded it to Pinnacle Studio Plus. Pinnacle Studio v10 costs around £60 but I got it for £40 because I got it with my camera. The Upgrade was £19.
Wow no one uses Pinnacle apart from me!
