Special Effects Software

Hello everyone,

I want to know what is the best special effects software to use.

I'm using now magix movie edit pro 12.

I haven't really tried that much with it coz i have only just got it, and coz i'm a newbie to this i would like any advise that anyone will be able to give me.

I can tell you my spec if you want me to:

Quad cpu 2.93ghz
2 bfg 8800 gtx water cooled
striker exteme motherboard
4x 1gb dominator
1x 140gb 10000rpm
2x 250gb 7200rpm
1x750gb 7200rpm

For special effects I use After Effects - but only for visual effects, not sound. You can pick up a legal copy off Ebay like I did and there are plenty of tutorials online (plus people here who can help) to get you started. It's good that you have a really powerful machine for doing things on, means it will work fast
