How to Add subtitles????

Post by Actima »

I have a MPEG-2 Coded short-film. I have the sound in a AC3-file, and I have the subtitles created in SubStream 2.1 which can export to every format i would need. I just wondered if anyone knows how to put this subtitle file into a DVD? Which Software would I need? and how do I do it? I've been searching all around the internet for ages, I can't find anything or anyone who can help me...this should be possible right?

Thanks.

If you use a Mac DVD Studio Pro can do up to 32 subtitle streams per video track. But you probably aren't :)

Hey Guys!
There is 10 miles to the nearset Macintosh. I live in Norway, it's not very common to use Macintosh. Except for Video editing though, but unfortunately I live too far away from people.

If you had Adobe Premiere, you could just open the files and make the titles there. If you don't, I would say try Adobe Encore, and play with your options there. However, if you want something fancy like colorful motion title effects, Encore isn't going to match your needs.

Just remember, you have to put the subtitles together before you burn the movie on a DVD. :)
