anybody got info on making these prob guns?
I have been wondering about making prop guns lately because well after all I do have the airsoft guns, I have been wondering how to go about making the other 3 weapons we want in our film.
They will have to look fairly good and I kinda don't know the materials of wich to use.
Here is what I am planning on making.
Rocket Launcher (or bazooka something similar that shoots large explosive ammo well not really but you know what I mean).
Flame Thrower (handheld, sort of GTA ish)
and a "Mini" Mini Gun (handheld about 2 feet in length yet deadly).
Just wondering if any of you had made something similar to these big guns?
any info would be very kindly appreciated.

mini-gun, use a cordless drill as the engine and build it up from there, flame thrower visit here http://www.sickindividual.com/flamer.html or watch Udds Armageddon and see what you think of the bigger one at the end. The backpack is merely decoration for the prop. Rocket Launcher just a big pipe of some sort as a basis.

well Solomon Cloud, because you are a friend i will tell you, Usually i do not like to give secrets away. The ammo belt is an old Martial Arts belt of mine, covered in 3-prong plastic pegs (in a heads to tail fashion) and painted silver
Remember when it comes to props you have to think beyond the square Also go into bargain shops etc and resource shop. Somtimes the resources you will need may be a component of another item and it may be cheaper buying that item than it is buying the resource itself.

Thanks, really cool, and I could proboly use that (or not).
I seem to have quite a large collection of belts from the 8 years of Tae Kwon Do I took, seems like alot of people have taken atleast a month of some martial arts in this forum.
weird.

well i was confident in knowing the results of the stunt. There was very little unknowns there. I knew that i could release at any time safely and i had accepted any injuries that may have occurred. Also it was planned and there was a crew there of 5 people and a first aid kit. The thing that people do not realise is that that sort of effect places the body under great stress and it takes days to recover fully, and usually you do not feel the effects until the mext morning

I made a police belt up from photo camera cases I collected over time!
You can buy actual military web belts anywhere from $10-20 these days. Not too shabby!
