VCD Startups

Post by DoDGe »

Hey, i got everything to copy vcds and things, and i know all about them just i need good software so i can add a start up bit with a 5 second advert kind of bit... I used Ulead but the trial version ran out... :P I cant be bothered paying for it because I dont really need to copy so much, its just going to be a few discs...
Does anyone know any easy software to create an image file for the vcd?

Ulead DVD Movie Factory is fairly good for creating menus for both VCD, SVCD and DVD.

I think you can get a trial version from the Ulead site.

Not sure about animated intros. Have a look at Xara Cool3D.

I have noticed on a vcd i was watching on the computer, is had a long mpg file name then 0001.mpeg or something at the end, i went on this and it was just a kind of startup, then ended, so i went on ********0002.mpeg and that was the actual movie, do you think if I could make this file and put it in before the other it would work in the dvd player with my sponser on?

Look, this is simple stuff!

Create your logo using ANY photo editing software, save as a bitmap or jpeg file. Then import into video editor of choice E.G. premiere. Then make the image, say, 10 seconds long. Fade it in & out, then export it as an avi or better still if you have Premiere 6.5 or the Mpeg pluging LSX or panasonic, encode to VCD mpeg1. Then import your logo mpeg before your movie in Nero, record your VCD & it's done. SIMPLE :D
