Recently, Whenever I open up either Internet Explorer or Windows Movie Maker, I get an error message about a minute and a half saying that the program has encountered a problem and needs to close, it's been getting so frequent that it's interfering with my internet research for school! What is causing this, and is there any easy way to fix it?
Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!

Do what camclub said and scan for viruses. Trust me my pc has been through everything and that is one of the things that has happened in the past and the cause of it was because of the blaster worm. If you have all your windows updates to prevent the sasser worm then i suggest that you scan your pc for other viruses/ worms to be on the safe side. and if worst comes to worse reinstall windows movie maker.
I scan for viruses and also use adaware every day! The both run in the background, so the couple of cicks of a mouse to get them running are worth every second!
Back to the problem lol...How would u fix it Camclub

take a print screen of the error thats popping up and make it a link so i can at least see this little fiasco your computer has before i think of anymore ideas.
Its like "sorry for the inconvenience but this program has to shut down"...probably that right

Ok have you pressed the More Info button on there? That sometimes explains the problem in more detail. Unless you fixed the issue with it then dont listen to what im saying
press Print screen on the keyboard, paste the image into paint save it, up load it, and post it here so we can get more detail of what you mean. If not spybot or ad-aware does the job.
P.S. I desided to animate the topic name for everyone:

With IE, it sounds to me as if you've filled you cache of temporary internet files. Try emptying all the online and offline junk from all the folders and clear your cookies. See if that makes a difference.
I don't know so much about the Movie Maker though. I've never used it.
the modem should have nothin to do with it, you need internet for IE....but for moviemaker u dont....
