for those who like WWII films and Zombie films...

Some of you may have been to the site, but i'll post it anyway.

The Rotting Menace

A buddy and I collaborated to make a short for a film festival in chicago IL a few months ago. I recently recompressed and reuploaded all the videos on the website so they are now much better quality, have a larger viewing size, and SMALLER file sizes ( by at least 10 MB's! )

Check out the 'reel' section there and the Rotting Menace is number one on the list. Hope you will enjoy.. feedback welcome

I've already seen, and liked it-
ALOT!
Anyways, what did you use for the body hit puffs? Was it compressed air, or the bag with a string and the other cr** attached?

That was great. lol

The only thing that bugged me was that all the Americans had Car"beans" and there were no Garands. Good though, fabulious German uniforms. Do you own these?

haha, no.. All the uniforms, except for a few of the german uniforms were authentic WWII stuff. A friend and I collaborated on this and he has a huge wardrobe of clothes from the 40's. I think one of the weapons were real, but other than that, the others were made. The 'body puffs' were actually talcum powder shot through a tube run up through the clothes, and pushed by a small can of compressed air. It was either triggered by the person or by someone else just out of frame.

We did all the shooting in like 2 days and then spend the next week editing it all together and adding all the extra stuff.

I have a video of all the outtakes if anyone wants me to post it.

Thanks for all the comments guys! I really didn't appreciate that much good feedback. This spring my buddy is reshooting his film ' the invinsible harry kane ' ( a WWII drama with some action ) This will be shot on 16mm film and extended to about 45 min or so now. He shot it and it was about 20 minutes but then decided to really go for it, develop the story and characters even more. The reason he can shoot this on 16mm is because he goes to Columbia in Chicago, IL and has access to everything he needs for free. I'm going to be helping out with location audio and shooting all the behind the scenes stuff. Then I can author a DVD with everything on it. Should be a pretty cool experience.
