Very good for being your first time... The only thing is that there still is some black around the edges.

Well, you can only learn from experience...Having said that, here a few things to fix. The first thing I noticed was the black around the edges. It looked very akward. Take those out and soften the edges. This should be easy, especially if you have Photoshop. Another thing you can do is to make those flashes less opaque. Make them more transparent, not too much, just a little. Then try and fix your timing. Make the flashes the frame before the recoil. It seemed as though there was a pause, like you were holding the gun waiting for something. As I said though, you can only learn from experience. They certainly weren't the greatest, but good for the first try. Keep working hard. Oh, and if you can, you might want to look into animating the flahes, also.
You know what's a fun game? Take 3 Excedrin PM's and see if you can whack off before you fall asleep. You always win, that's the best part about the game. -Cal, The 40 Year Old Virgin
